POS System

Revamp needed a modular POS system to support a wide range of product shapes and sizes. Retailers were increasingly requesting bespoke displays, creating inconsistent brand presence and driving up cost and lead times. The goal was to create a scalable, ready-made system that reduced custom builds while giving retailers flexible, high-quality display options.

Context

Revamp’s expanding product range made it difficult to maintain a consistent in-store presence. Retailers wanted more tailored displays, but bespoke builds were costly and slow to activate. The challenge was to design a system that could flex across product types and store formats while preserving brand cohesion.

The Challenge

Without a scalable system, Revamp risked fragmented retail execution and rising production costs. Retailers needed flexibility, but the brand needed consistency. The problem was finding a way to satisfy both without compromising speed or budget.

Approach

I designed a modular ecosystem built around a shared core frame that could flex across product types, retailer needs and budget tiers. Interchangeable components, multiple base sizes and configurable pegboard/magnetic elements reduced the need for custom POS while maintaining brand consistency. The system was designed to be refreshed seasonally without rebuilding from scratch.

The Result

  • Designed a modular core frame adaptable across three budget tiers

  • Created three base sizes to support different product footprints

  • Developed interchangeable components including pegboard panels, magnetic accessories and powered elements

  • Produced visualisations and exploded views to help retailers understand configuration options

  • Ensured the system could be refreshed seasonally without rebuilding from scratch

  • Delivered a system that felt premium, practical and easy to deploy

Outcome

The mid-tier system was quickly adopted and rolled out across several retailers, reducing turnaround times and production costs. Revamp now refreshes its in-store presence without replacing the entire system. While the low and high-tier concepts haven’t yet been deployed, they continue to support retailer conversations and demonstrate the full scalability of the ecosystem.
